BIOENERGY - International Specialised Salon

Founded in 1991, the 18th International Specialised Exhibition Wood Working in Minsk has since the first edition developed into the unique international exhibition for the woodworking and forestry industry in Belarus.

Within the frame of Wood Working exhibition, the International Specialised Salon "BioEnergy" is the forum for technologies machines and equipment for biomass utilisation for energetic means, and for energy-efficient technologies in the forestry, wood and furniture industries.

A young and growing exhibition part of Wood Working will be the 5th International Specialised Salon "Furniture - Design - Components". 

Number of participants in Wood Working / BioEnergy 2010:
Total number 238 of represented companies from 24 countries, among these 130 direct exhibitors from 14 countries, and further 138 represented companies.

Countries represented: Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, USA.

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus kindly supports Wood Working/BioEnergy 2011. Approximately 85 % of the forests of Belarus are being managed and cultivated under the auspices of the Ministry of Forestry. Together with forestry, log and woodworking as well as processing industries, joinery, pulp and paper industries make up one of the most important sectors in the Belarusian economy, and this industry sector has grown by approximately 15 % in 2010.
